Hiking and cycling in Tramin
Tramin is the starting point for countless hiking trails and bike tours. Follow gently undulating paths through orchards and along the Gewürztraminer trail. Sporty types will enjoy scaling Tramin's local peak, Roen mountain (2116 m), which forms the highest point in the Mendelkamm ridge, or Penegal mountain, which rises to 1737 m. Those who prefer shorter walks can make use of the nostalgic Mendelbahn funicular. The Mendel Pass is a lovely starting point for hikes through the surrounding woodlands and to nearby Alpine huts.
